Mobile mechanic cost

How much does a mobile mechanic cost?
Depends on the service and your vehicle. Brake pads start around $150 per axle, oil changes from $60, battery replacement from $150, and diagnostics from $75. You see your exact price before we start — no hidden fees or surprise charges. Get your free quote.
Is a mobile mechanic cheaper than a shop?
Usually yes. We have no rent, no building overhead, and no waiting room to maintain. Those savings get passed to you. Most customers save 15-25% compared to a traditional auto repair shop — plus you keep your whole day instead of sitting in a lobby.
How is this different from a dealership?
Dealerships charge premium labor rates because of their overhead — the building, the staff, the coffee machine in the lobby. We use equivalent or better parts, charge less for labor, come to you instead of making you wait, and provide the same 12-month warranty. The only difference is we skip the building.
Are there any hidden fees or trip charges?
No. The price we quote is the price you pay. Parts, labor, everything is included in the quote. No trip fee, no disposal fee, no "shop supplies" charge. If we find additional issues during the repair, we stop and ask before doing anything extra.
What forms of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Payment is collected only after the repair is completed and you're satisfied with the work. We never charge upfront.

What we fix

What repairs can a mobile mechanic do?
Most common car repairs can be done on-site. This includes brake pads and rotors, oil changes, battery replacement, alternator and starter replacement, spark plugs, serpentine belts, diagnostics, and more. About 90% of common auto repairs can be done right in your driveway without a lift.
What vehicles do you work on?
Most domestic and import vehicles from 1995 to present — sedans, trucks, SUVs, crossovers, and hybrids. Gas and diesel. Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda, Dodge, Ram, GMC, Jeep, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Subaru, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, and more. If you're unsure, request a quote and we'll let you know.
Do you do diesel trucks?
Yes. We service Cummins, Duramax, and Powerstroke diesel trucks. Oil changes, brakes, batteries, starters, alternators, and diagnostics. We come equipped with the right diesel-rated oil, larger filters, and capacity for systems that take 10+ quarts.
What can't a mobile mechanic do?
Anything that requires a vehicle lift — like transmission removal, engine swaps, or alignment. If your car needs something beyond our on-site capability, we'll tell you upfront rather than waste your time. We never take on a job we can't do properly.
How long does a mobile brake repair take?
Brake pad replacement takes about 1.5 hours per axle. Pads plus rotors take about 2 hours per axle. Both axles together: 3 to 4 hours. Done at your location while you go about your day.
How long does a mobile oil change take?
About 30-45 minutes. Drain, replace filter, refill with the correct oil weight for your vehicle, check fluid levels. Diesel oil changes take slightly longer — about 45-60 minutes due to larger capacity.
Do you do pre-purchase inspections?
Yes. If you're buying a used car from a private seller or dealer, we can come inspect it before you commit. We check brakes, suspension, fluid condition, engine health, electrical systems, and give you an honest assessment of what the car actually needs.

How it works

How do I get a quote?
Request a quote on our website. Pick your vehicle make and model, select the service you need, and we text you exact pricing within 10 minutes. No account needed, no phone call required, no obligation.
Can a mechanic really come to my house?
Yes. Our mobile mechanics come to your home, office, apartment parking lot, or wherever your car is parked. All they need is a flat surface and enough room to work safely around the vehicle. See How It Works for the full process.
Do I need to be home during the repair?
Not for most repairs. As long as we can access the vehicle and payment is arranged, we can complete the work while you're away. We send before-and-after photos and text when the job is done.
Can I get same-day service?
Often yes. Same-day and next-day appointments are common Monday through Friday. Saturdays fill faster, so booking a day ahead helps. The sooner you request a quote, the sooner we can schedule.
Can you work on my car at my apartment?
Yes. We service vehicles at apartments, condos, and townhomes regularly. We lay down mats and catch every drop of fluid so your parking lot stays clean. Just need a flat surface and room to work.
What if you find additional problems during the repair?
We never do extra work without your approval. If we discover something during the repair, we stop, explain what we found with photos, and give you a price for the additional work. You decide whether to proceed. No surprise charges, ever.

Quality and guarantee

Do mobile mechanics offer a warranty?
Every job comes with a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty covering both parts and labor. If anything goes wrong related to our work, we come back and fix it at no extra charge. No arguments, no fine print.
What parts do you use?
OEM-equivalent or better on every job. Ceramic and semi-metallic brake pads, premium rotors, name-brand oil and filters, and quality replacement parts that meet or exceed factory specifications. We never use cheap aftermarket parts that wear out in six months.
Are your mechanics certified?
Yes. Our mechanics are experienced, background-checked, and trained on every service we offer. Every technician carries proper insurance and uses professional-grade tools. This isn't a guy with a socket set — it's a professional mobile auto repair service.
What if I'm not satisfied with the repair?
Call or text us and we come back to make it right at no additional cost. Our 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty covers parts and labor on every repair. We stand behind every single job.
Do you dispose of old parts and fluids?
Yes. We collect all used oil, brake fluid, old parts, and filters in sealed containers and take them to certified recycling facilities. Your driveway stays clean — guaranteed.

Weather, scheduling, and more

What if it rains or snows?
Light rain and cold weather don't affect repair quality. We work year-round in all conditions. Active blizzards or severe thunderstorms may require rescheduling, but that's rare. We communicate proactively if weather is a concern.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Saturdays 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed Sundays. Same-day appointments are common on weekdays.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Same-day and next-day are common. No need to book weeks ahead. Just request a quote, approve the price, and we schedule you in. Saturdays book faster, so a day's notice helps for weekend appointments.
What if my car won't start — can you still come?
That's exactly when we're most useful. Dead battery, bad starter, no-crank situation — we come to where your car is and fix it on the spot. No tow truck needed for most electrical and starting issues.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let us know as soon as possible. No cancellation fees. We'd rather reschedule than have you feel locked into an appointment that doesn't work.
